We have a few recommended hair care products and also a comprehensive hair care advice process. Simply follow these steps to maintain and promote healthy looking hair with your new hair extensions.
Natural Hair Shredding
Natural Hair Shedding is a totally normal occurrence. Everyone sheds hair on a daily basis.
HAIR FACT: you will have on average around 100 000 hairs on your head of which around 100 will shed daily as part of the natural growth process. The finer your hair the more hairs you will actually have - the average "natural blonde" will have nearer 140 000 hairs...
This shedding will still occur with the introduction of hair extensions, however it will be at your same natural hair loss rate. If you have had previous problems with excessive hair loss, scalp instability or sensitivity then please alert us at your hair health consultation - this doesn't mean you can't have extensions, we will just take extra steps to ensure suitability eg couple "test" extensions prior to full head.

Specialist Hair Care for Extensions
Now you have your beautiful natural hair extensions it is very important for you to follow the recommended steps below:
•Always wash your hair standing up in the shower or sitting upright in the bath. Washing your hair upside down can cause tangling and cuticle damage.
•Wash your hair regularly using warm - not hot water - and an enriching shampoo. Gently but thoroughly massage the scalp and your natural hair roots to ensure that they are oil and product free. Gently squeeze the shampoo through the length of your hair - DO NOT RUB - rinse thoroughly.
•Follow with a good conditioner for dry/damaged hair on the middle to ends of your hair avoiding the roots!! Conditioner on the extension bonds can cause slippage and loss of strands.
•Remove excess water by squeezing gently with a towel - do not rub or put your head upside down while your hair is wet.
•Gently comb the length of your hair using a wide tooth comb, starting from the ends and working up to de tangle. Do not attempt to comb your roots, you must use only the bristle brush at the root area to gently tame your natural hair.
•Whether you want to style your hair or leave it to dry naturally it is a good idea to dry your roots and the bonds with the coolest setting on your hairdryer. Style as normal, using a bristle brush as recommended by your extensions, making sure that you don't use styling products near the bonds. Treat your hair gently! Try not to tug or pull at the hair extensions. If you use heated straighteners, do not use the appliance near the bonds.
•During the day remember to gently separate the strands regularly using your fingers or your bristle brush. Before you go to bed tie your hair back at the nape of your neck in a loose pony tail or plait.
•You may experience a small amount of slipping in the beginning. Don't Panic!!! This is completely normal as Shrinkies do not involve the use of glue. If this happens to the extreme then we will attend and re-install free of charge - remember this process does not involve glue or bonding agents for the health of your hair!
•Your extensions will last approx 12 weeks or until your natural hair has grown 3cm. At this point they should be removed by your extensionist using specialist removal tools. Please do not attempt to remove them yourself. Your new extensions can be installed the same day.
